SECOND HAND SEPTEMBER

Secondhand September is a moment for all of us to come together to choose a planet-friendly way to shop. Aotea proudly embraces secondhand living— not just when it comes to clothing, but throughout our homes, gardens, and everyday lifestyles. Secondhand September is a great opportunity, when many traditionally swap out the old for new season clothing, to celebrate sustainability and participate in some fun events.

During Secondhand September, Anamata will be swapping out its winter collection and introducing a fresh range of spring and summer styles. In- store fashion guru and stylist, Leilah, is available to help you define your style and curate the perfect outfit for any occasion. Whether it’s for every day life, a party theme or something more formal, she’ll ensure you look your best.

In true Barrier fashion, Kaitoke School is also hosting their annual Aotea Eco Couture event this month. Expect to see innovative secondhand and upcycled creations on the runway.

Anamata sets aside themed and special event wear, so you don’t need to buy new—just pop in and ask about a special outfit for that special event.

These will focus on teaching repair skills for clothes and tools, giving your items a new lease of life and helping you avoid unnecessary purchases.

For more information, keep an eye on our Facebook page and the Anamata noticeboard.
