Kawa Marae – A living, thriving marae that strengthens and sustains the people.
Kawa Marae is nestled in Moanauriuri bay on the north-western side of Aotea. Ngātiwai o Aotea Kawa Marae Trust aka Kawa 3 Part Maori Reservation Trust is the legal entity that administers a total of 1.214 hectares of Maori land that was set apart as Maori Reservation on the 28 March 1978.
