On Friday we will be joined by industry experts in energy, waste, transport, housing, water and food. As living off the grid living becomes more popular we want to explore what it might look like on Great Barrier Island 50 years from now and what fundamental changes are just around the corner.

Saturday provides a number of activities to be involved in. The Property Tour will showcase the diversity of living styles on the Island. From quirky bach set ups to award winning architecturally designed homes. Following the Property our will be an evening of good food, great company and some in-depth conversations of what life is really like ‘Off The Grid’. For those keen to carry on, there is also the option for booking a guided star gazing tour of the Island’s Dark Sky.

To wrap up the weekend, on Sunday we will get the creative juices flowing and discuss different aspects of off grid living. At the Field Day event at Claris Sports Club we will have a variety of Off Grid technologies on show as well workshops and presentations.
