Swim sports event report from Mulberry Grove School Principal Ally Gibbs
It was a bit of a grey day in Tryphena and very high tide as the schools assembled for our annual swimming sports. Our pool is the beach at Mulberry Grove School!
The marquees were up and the BBQ was going and excitement was building.
It was a bit intrepid in the water for adults and swimmers contending with a rocky seafloor and the breeze creating a swell that created some challenges as swimmers were moved off course.
The emphasis was about having fun and giving it ago. As always it was a great day , lots of encouragement from the shore, great support bringing people from the north and central parts of the island.
Certificates were awarded for team spirit, resilience and effort and given out on the day, followed up with 1st, 2nd, 3rd sent to each school.”
