On the 26 April the Aotea Early Learning Centre turns one! Years in the making, this pivotal organisation has transformed lives across the island since it opened its doors nearly 365 days ago.
Offering three days of licensed pre-school education to our tamariki, it has allowed mums and whanau to return to work, take on voluntary roles or just regroup.
The first year was a pilot but they are on the cusp of receiving a permanent license to operate. It’s a beautiful space where our island’s under fives can learn and grow. Well done to the Aotea Education Trust for its amazing work getting the centre off the ground and humming.
