Nikau Heights is a 10 ac block of regenerating bush overlooking Tryphena and Pah Beach.It’s ideally located close (a 10min walk downhill) to Tryphena’s great amenities-the Stonewall Store,  the Pah Beach Cafe, the Post Office and the Currach Irish Pub. The Barrier Social Club is next door which has great meals Wed,Fri and Sat nights and movies on a Monday.

There are two rental houses ,Kaka and Kereru (named after the native birds frequently seen close by) and the owner’s residence at Nikau Heights. Both houses rely on rain for water and solar power for electricity so conserving resources is paramount.

Kaka Cottage is a one bedroom ,cosy, self contained cottage with great views and a peaceful location. It has solar 12v lighting and refrigeration and gas for cooking and water heating.It sleeps two.

Kereru Cottage is a 3 bedroom cottage which can sleep 6. It’s a comfortable, low key house, great for relaxing with a good book and playing card games with the kids.It relies on 12v power for lighting, a 240v fridge/freezer, also gas for cooking and water heating.
