Located on Kaiaraara Bay road overlooking Port FitzRoy Harbour, this chalet can sleep up to three in single beds and has amazing views of the bay.
The space is clean, well finished with a true off the grid feel with hot outdoor shower and long drop toilet with an incredible view! One single bed is on the ground floor, the second two are up a ladder on a mezzanine above the living space. The small kitchenette is equipped with small gas hob and fridge.
This is the perfect spot to relax after completing the Aotea Track or a stop off before you begin the track or to discover Glenfern Sanctuary regional park and conservation sanctuary, there are beautiful gardens and tracks that lead through ancient and regenerative native bush. The swing bridge to a kauri tree is a must-do!

The backpackers is owned by Mark & Jo-Anne’s who are onsite and on hand but completely self-contained. For those coming in by private boat, it is possible to anchor in the bay come into the shore at Akapoua campground and take a short walk up the hill to the property. There is also a studio onsite available for hire.
