Anamata has been working hard to expand the range of construction materials we can divert away from landfill and into recycling.

Below is a current list of what you can drop off to us at Anamata:

Small charges for:

GIB off-cuts: new, dry. $0.20/kg

Garden/green waste: no stumps or soil. Various fees.

And the following at no charge, if in acceptable, clean condition:

GIB whole: large, dry pieces

Timber/ply: clean, de-nailed, over 500mm

Building wrap: no4 (LDPE)

Plumbing fittings

Cardboard & paper: dry, unmixed

All metals: rust okay, includes electrical cable/wire

Insulation: large pieces, dry, good condition

Carpet: wool, all conditions. Synthetic – large, good quality only

Polystyrene: white polystyrene – tape removed

Food waste: not mixed with other waste

Household recyclables

For recycling, it is really important not to put coffee cups, food wrappers, or leftover food in the same bin as your building waste – please keep these in a separate bin or bag.
