Grow Food Aotea has announced another skill share this month, one which will surely get a rise!
Bread Baking Skill Share
On Saturday 25 May, Grow Food Aotea Coordinator Caity Endt, along with locals Treena Salthouse and Sue Ruesser will be running a bread baking skill share at Orama from 10am to 2:30pm.
They will be sharing the art of bread making – from sourdough, no knead, and even gluten free loaves. They will cover very simple recipes with minimal prep time through to the art of sourdough.
Baking your own bread is so satisfying and gives you free rein with your ingredients. It is also significantly cheaper than buying store bought breads, a bit of a reprieve on the wallet which is surely welcome.
Orama is the perfect venue for this skill share with its abundant space, commercial kitchen and large ovens.
This workshop is $20 per person and bookings are required. Please contact Caity Endt to secure your spot and also coordinate carpooling from further down island.
